Individual health insurance programs are designed for individuals and families who cannot obtain health insurance through an employer. In 2014, the Affordable Care Act included a mandate for most individuals to have minimum essential health insurance for themselves and their dependents or pay a tax penalty for noncompliance. The tax penalty for noncompliance will no longer apply beginning in 2019. Consumers can choose to purchase health insurance on or off federal or state marketplace exchanges during the annual Open Enrollment period. Depending on your income, you may be eligible to receive health care subsidies to help cover the cost of your health insurance. We are certified to assist you in enrolling for coverage inside the marketplace.
As an independent firm, we can provide plans both on and off the marketplace exchange from health insurance companies that participate in the individual market. We are contracted to work with the following carriers: Aetna, United Healthcare, Scott & White, Molina, Oscar, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna. Unfortunately, the market has changed dramatically since 2014 and many of the carriers we have worked with in the past are not offering individual plans any longer. We will work with you to provide the best available options that are currently available in your area. Compare all 2019 Marketplace Plans utilizing a simplified enrollment platform.
